Hanumanasana or Splits is considered one of the most iconic and for some people unobtainable postures but its nothing more than a variation of standing postures like Parsvattonasna (Pyramid Pose), High Lunge and the Warriors.
This workshop will take a different approach to this posture. Instead of focusing on lengthening hamstrings or hip flexors we will look at the form of standing postures in depth and how they relate to floor based variations like low lunges and anjaneyasana when gravity comes into play and the tendency to sink into the floor is greater.
Developing better form and building up strength in basic standing poses will improve and enhance flexibility and proprioception as you work towards more advanced variations
